Ford EcoSport has not been discontinued. Related introduction: Design: To further highlight the sporty style, the newly added 1.5L AT Platinum Sport Edition is equipped with exclusive fashion sport package. The whole vehicle features blackened treatment on multiple parts including headlights, sport grille, window waistline, front and rear bumpers, roof rails, etc., paired with 17-inch sport-style alloy wheels with smoked treatment. Power: The Ford EcoSport offers three powertrain options: 2.0L Duratec direct injection engine, EcoBoost 1.0L turbocharged direct injection engine, and 1.5L Ti-VCT engine, mated with SelectShift™ 6-speed automatic transmission for more precise and smooth power delivery.
I've looked into this before. The discontinuation of the Ford EcoSport is actually closely related to changes in the domestic auto market. When this car was first launched, there weren't many small SUVs available. But later, domestic models like the Geely Binyue and Changan CS35 offered more space, higher configurations, and were 20,000-30,000 yuan cheaper, making the EcoSport somewhat awkward. Plus, its three-cylinder 1.0T engine made many people worry about vibration issues. Ford itself adjusted its strategy during those years, focusing more on promoting higher-profit SUVs like the Kuga. Last year, I heard from a salesperson at a dealership that the manufacturer found the cost of updating the car to meet China VI emission standards too high, so they simply decided to discontinue it. However, you can still find it in the used car market, and maintenance isn't expensive.
