Why is there no guide line in the reversing camera?

Reversing camera without guide lines may be due to accidentally touching the settings in the menu bar, which hides the guide lines of the reversing camera. They can be restored through settings. The guide lines of the reversing camera can be divided into two types, namely the simulated wheel trajectory line and the simulated distance marker line. Wheel trajectory line: The wheel trajectory line is generally represented by two vertical solid or dashed lines, which are used to indicate the simulated trajectory of the two rear wheels, and will also deflect according to the steering wheel's rotation. Simulated distance marker line: The simulated distance marker line is generally represented by green, yellow, and red horizontal lines (some may also be represented by segments on the simulated trajectory line) to indicate the distance between the rear and the vehicle.
I recently helped a friend with a similar issue—missing reversing camera guidelines are quite common. The first thing that usually comes to mind is a system setting problem—the guideline option might have been accidentally turned off in the navigation screen settings menu. Try restarting the vehicle or re-enabling it in the settings. Another possible cause is that the software needs an update; the onboard system can sometimes have bugs, and powering off for a few minutes before restarting might restore it. The camera itself could also be faulty—for example, the lens might be covered in dirt, the cable could be loose, or the module might be damaged. If you’ve been driving in rainy or dusty conditions, dirt blocking the lens might temporarily hide the guidelines. I’d recommend starting with simple fixes: clean the lens, reboot the system, and check the settings. If that doesn’t work, visit a 4S shop as soon as possible for a full diagnosis to avoid accidents due to missing distance references while reversing. Safety first—don’t delay too long.
