Why is there no air coming from the car air conditioner?

Reasons for no air coming from the car air conditioner: blower failure, clogged air filter. Blower failure: The car blower is a crucial component for air output in the car air conditioning system. If the air conditioning compressor fails during operation, the car air conditioner will definitely not blow air. Overheating damage to the internal coils of the blower or capacitor failure are significant causes of blower malfunction. You can turn the car air conditioner to its maximum setting and listen for the blower's sound. If the blower is confirmed to be faulty, it needs to be addressed at a 4S shop as it's difficult to resolve on your own. Clogged air filter: The air filter is a common and major reason for no air output from the air conditioner. During operation, the car air conditioner absorbs many impurities from the air, leading to a clogged air filter. If there's no air coming from the air conditioner, you can remove the air filter to check if it's clean. If the air filter is too dirty, it needs to be replaced promptly. You can go to a 4S shop or a repair shop, or you can replace it yourself.
Once I encountered a situation where the air conditioning wasn't blowing air. First, check if it's a setting issue - turn on the AC switch and try increasing the fan speed. If the fan speed knob is turned to maximum and there's still no response, the blower motor might be broken. This motor is located behind the glove box and can easily get stuck due to accumulated dust over time. Another common issue is a completely clogged cabin air filter - last time I opened mine, it looked like a thick quilt. Also remember to check the fuse box for the 10A fuse dedicated to the AC system, and replace it if blown. If you hear the motor humming when turning on the AC but no air comes out, it's likely a faulty resistor. Loose wiring connections can also cause poor contact. If you can't fix it yourself, better visit a repair shop - they can quickly test the circuit with a multimeter. Driving without AC in summer is pure torture.
