After maintenance at the 4S shop, this indicator will disappear. The appearance of the "small wrench" symbol on the dashboard does not indicate a vehicle malfunction; it is simply a maintenance reminder. Purpose of the maintenance light: The maintenance indicator light serves to remind the driver to service the vehicle after it has been driven a certain distance. In other words, when the small wrench light comes on, it's time to take the car to a 4S shop for maintenance. Note that different manufacturers set different maintenance intervals for their models, so when the wrench light appears should be determined according to the vehicle's user manual. After maintenance is completed, the technician will reset the maintenance light to zero through a setting procedure. Maintenance cycle: The maintenance cycle is preset when the vehicle leaves the factory, so the "small wrench" will appear every certain number of kilometers to remind the driver to perform timely maintenance. Typically, the maintenance cycle is every 5,000–8,000 kilometers driven, and the factory-set cycle is usually slightly longer than 8,000 kilometers.
