Why is the warm air in the Magotan only hot on one side?

Here are the reasons why the warm air in the Magotan is only hot on one side: 1. One side of the small heater core is clogged, which causes one side to not heat up. In this case, the small heater core needs to be replaced. 2. The air duct on the non-heating side is blocked, resulting in poor airflow and no heat. The air duct should be disassembled and cleaned. 3. The vehicle's air conditioning has a dual-zone control button. If this function is not activated, the driver can only operate the air conditioning on their side, so the passenger side will remain in a cold air state. Pressing this button will resolve the issue. Additional information: The warm air is generated using the heat from the engine coolant. The circulating engine coolant flows through pipes into the small heater core inside the air conditioning unit. When the blower operates, air flows over the small heater core, gets heated, and is then blown out through the air vents.
I also encountered this issue of one side being hot while the other side not cooling properly in my Magotan. It's most likely caused by a clogged heater core. This car relies entirely on coolant circulation for heating. If some passages in the heater core get blocked, the corresponding area won't receive sufficient heat. Another possibility is that the air conditioning's air duct flap is stuck, allowing air flow on one side but not the other. You should check the coolant level, as insufficient coolant can also cause uneven heating across zones. You can first feel the air vents yourself - if both sides have normal airflow but different temperatures, it's basically a heat exchange problem. However, fixing this yourself is quite troublesome as it requires dashboard removal. In the end, it's more reliable to have a professional repair shop inspect it with an endoscope. They can also flush the entire cooling system pipeline while at it.
