Why is the Vezel consuming more and more fuel?

Using ethanol gasoline, frequent traffic congestion in urban areas, low winter temperatures, rapid acceleration, heavy loads, speeding, high engine oil viscosity, ultra-short distance driving, etc., can all lead to higher fuel consumption. The following are some tips to reduce fuel consumption: Good Driving Habits: Since driving habits vary among drivers, different drivers driving the same car on the same route will have different fuel consumption. Good driving habits help reduce fuel consumption. Regularly Check Parts: If air filters, fuel filters, and lubricating oil filters are not replaced for a long time, they can become clogged with impurities, affecting performance and leading to increased fuel consumption.
I've been driving my Vezel for almost four years, and recently the fuel consumption has been getting higher, which is quite annoying. After checking, the main reason was insufficient tire pressure, which increased rolling resistance and forced the engine to work harder. The air filter was clogged with dust, restricting airflow and reducing the engine's combustion efficiency. My driving habits weren't great either—I often accelerated and braked abruptly, wasting a lot of fuel. Plus, using the air conditioning every day in summer increased the engine load, raising fuel consumption by about 10%. The spark plugs were also worn out, causing delayed ignition and incomplete combustion. Later, I learned my lesson: regular maintenance, replacing the filter and spark plugs, keeping tire pressure at the standard level, and setting the AC to a comfortable temperature. Gradually, the fuel consumption dropped.
