Why is the rear reading light of the X-Trail always on?

The light on the roof of the cabin may be on because it is set to the always-on mode. Generally, there are buttons next to the light on the roof of the cabin, with three modes: ON (always-on mode), DOOR (light on when the door is open and off when closed), and OFF (off mode). It is usually set to DOOR mode, where the light automatically turns on when the door is opened and off when the door is closed. If the button is set to ON, the light will remain on continuously and needs to be turned off manually. Meaning of reading light: The reading light provides sufficient brightness for passengers when the interior light is insufficient, facilitating reading in the car without affecting the driver's normal driving. It is connected to the cigarette lighter socket and can emit different colored lights when the switch is pressed. Current car reading lights include ordinary reading lights (with one bulb) and LED reading lights (with multiple LED bulbs). Advantages of car reading lights: Long lifespan, generally reaching tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of hours. Some believe that if future cars use LED lighting, the entire vehicle's lifespan would not require replacing the lights. Energy-saving, consuming at least half the electricity of incandescent bulbs of the same brightness. High-quality light with virtually no radiation, making it a "green" light source.
