The reason for the new Santana's heaviness is due to a heavy clutch. Reasons for a heavy clutch: A rusty or worn clutch cable can cause a heavy clutch, a rusty or worn clutch pedal can cause a heavy clutch, and a damaged clutch pressure plate can cause a heavy clutch. Clutch maintenance: Before installation, the clutch must be thoroughly cleaned to remove anti-rust grease and debris. The clutch can be installed coaxially or on separate shafts, but axial fixation is mandatory. Neither the driving nor the driven parts should have axial play. When installed on separate shafts, the coaxiality between the driving and driven parts should not exceed 0.1 mm. For wet electromagnetic clutches, lubricating oil must be added between the friction plates during operation.
