Why is the car fan not working?

The reasons why the car fan is not working are: 1. Clogged air filter: If the heater is not very hot, first check the air filter to see if it is dirty or clogged. A dirty air filter can indeed affect the temperature of the heater. If the air filter is dirty, the airflow will be very weak, and you might not notice it. 2. Lack of coolant: Insufficient antifreeze can also cause the heater to not get hot. This is because the heater utilizes the heat from the antifreeze. Hot antifreeze enters the heater core, heats it up, and then the air blown through the heater core becomes warm. If there is not enough antifreeze, the amount reaching the heater core will be reduced, and it won't be fully filled, so the air blown out won't be as hot. 3. Clogged heater core: If the heater core is clogged, antifreeze cannot enter it or enters very little, so the heater core won't get hot. As a result, the air passing through it won't be hot either. If the heater core is clogged, repairs can be quite troublesome, requiring the removal of the entire dashboard to access it.

My car's fan suddenly stopped working while I was driving, and I started wondering why this happened. It could be a blown fuse—open the hood and check the fuse box; the fan's fuse is prone to burning out due to current surges. Or the fan motor itself might have failed, as prolonged high-temperature operation causes significant wear. Loose wiring connections are also a common issue, leading to poor conductivity. If the temperature sensor malfunctions, the system won’t know when to activate the fan. Once when I went for repairs, the mechanic suggested checking the simple things first, like fuses and plugs. If replacing them doesn’t help, then test the circuit voltage. A non-working fan can cause the engine to overheat, leading to damage sooner or later, so I dealt with it promptly. Remember to have the technician inspect the fan system during regular maintenance to prevent small issues from becoming big problems. Driving safely is the top priority, so never ignore any abnormalities.

How to Deal with Foggy Windows When Using Air Conditioning in Summer?

Solutions for foggy windows when using air conditioning in summer: 1. Appropriately increase the temperature inside the cabin to reduce the significant difference between indoor and outdoor air temperatures; 2. Use the windshield wipers to clear the fog and direct some warm air towards the windshield to quickly disperse the fog; 3. Apply anti-fog agents to the windows, which absorb moisture on the surface and form a water film to prevent fogging; 4. If it rains frequently and opening windows is not suitable, turn on the external circulation defogging mode, ensuring the air vents are correctly positioned to blow air towards the front windshield and footwell or just the front windshield.

Can I Replace Car Brake Pads Myself?

Car brake pads can be replaced by yourself. Here is the relevant information: 1. Replacing brake pads requires tools such as a jack, suitable socket wrenches, open-end wrenches, screwdrivers, sandpaper, and grease. Some tools are usually equipped with the vehicle, such as a jack and a cross socket for removing tires. 2. Loosen the fastening bolts of all wheels by half a turn, there is no need to completely unscrew them. Before lifting the vehicle, use the friction between the tires and the ground to loosen the wheel bolts more easily. The lifting position of the vehicle usually has a palm-sized raised rubber pad, which can be easily felt by hand. Just lift the vehicle until the wheel that needs the brake pads replaced is slightly off the ground.

Can You Drive with a Faulty Wheel Speed Sensor?

You can continue driving with a faulty wheel speed sensor, but only at low speeds for short distances. It is recommended that the owner drive to the nearest repair shop for servicing. The wheel speed sensor is primarily used to measure the rotational speed of a vehicle's wheels, and the detected frequency signal is directly transmitted to the ABS computer. A malfunctioning wheel speed sensor can directly affect the vehicle's safety systems (such as ESP, ABS, etc.), leading to a decrease in the vehicle's stability. The car may experience sudden wheel lock-up, significantly increasing safety hazards and the likelihood of traffic accidents.

Can Halogen Lights Be Directly Replaced with LED?

Halogen lights can be directly replaced with LED bulbs. The replacement method is as follows: 1. First, purchase the corresponding LED bulb based on the halogen light model; 2. Remove the halogen bulb and insert the LED bulb, securing it firmly with a stabilizer. However, replacing with an LED bulb may not achieve satisfactory results. Since the original vehicle light path is designed for halogen lights, the focal points of the reflector bowl and lens are different. Therefore, after some vehicles are modified with such LED lights, the illumination may be uneven or form light beams. In addition, product quality varies, and if heat dissipation and constant current are not handled well, LED light decay will be very noticeable, significantly shortening the lifespan.
