Why is the car consuming engine oil without emitting blue smoke?

If the car consumes engine oil without emitting blue smoke, it indicates that the engine oil is not entering the combustion chamber. In this case, you need to check whether there is an engine oil leak in the engine. Another possibility is that engine oil is entering the combustion chamber, but the amount is insufficient to produce blue smoke from the exhaust pipe. A decrease in the sealing performance of the valve stem seals can also cause engine oil consumption. Valve stem seals are made of rubber, and prolonged exposure to high temperatures can cause them to harden. Once hardened, the valve stem seals lose their sealing effect, allowing engine oil to flow into the combustion chamber through the valve guides, resulting in oil consumption. Additionally, a malfunction in the piston rings of the engine can also lead to oil consumption. When the piston rings wear to a certain extent, they can no longer effectively scrape the engine oil off the cylinder walls, leaving residual oil on the walls, which causes the engine to burn oil.
