Why is the BYD F3 fan not spinning?

When the fan gets damp, the fan's shaft sleeve is prone to oxidation, increasing resistance and causing the fan to stop spinning. After turning off the power, apply some lubricating oil to the shaft to reduce resistance, and the fan should start spinning again. Below are other reasons that may cause the fan to stop spinning: 1. For wear-induced fan blade immobility, the simplest solution is to replace the parts, especially the shaft sleeve, as wear can easily lead to burning out. 2. If the fan stops spinning due to reduced capacitor capacity, you can remove the capacitor and replace it with a new one of the same model. It is recommended to choose a capacitor 20% larger than the original for better spinning performance. 3. If the axial clearance of the shaft is too large, you can disassemble the motor and adjust the shim. However, when reinstalling the motor, ensure the rotor is concentric with the bearing. Tighten the screws diagonally for lubrication and gently tap the shaft with a wooden handle to ensure concentricity. Disassembling the motor is easy, but reassembly is more challenging—take care not to rush, or you may damage the fan. If severe wear is found on the bearing during disassembly, replace it with a new part. 4. If the issue is due to an electrical fault, check all wiring connections, as sometimes wires may be damaged.
