Why is the braking system of Geely Vision not working properly?

Geely Vision's braking system may not work properly due to lack of necessary maintenance, severe overloading of the vehicle, or improper operation leading to mechanical failure. Other reasons: Too many impurities in the brake master cylinder, poor sealing, failure of the vacuum booster pump, dirty brake fluid, or mixing different types of brake fluid can all cause brake failure. Introduction to braking: Braking, also known as deceleration, refers to the action of stopping or reducing the speed of running locomotives, vehicles, other transport tools, or machinery. The general principle of braking is to fix a wheel or disc on the high-speed shaft of the machine and install corresponding brake shoes, bands, or discs on the machine base to generate braking torque under external force.
I've been driving a Geely Vision for several years, and poor braking performance could be one of the common issues. Brake pads worn too thin—check if the thickness is less than 3mm; if too thin, braking force decreases. Another possibility is insufficient or contaminated brake fluid; if the level is low, top it up, and if the fluid is dirty, replace it, otherwise the brake pedal will feel spongy. If the brake discs are grooved or warped, it can also affect braking performance. A faulty vacuum booster makes the pedal hard to press. If the ABS warning light is on, indicating a sensor or pump issue, the car may shake during braking. I recommend checking fluid levels and pad thickness monthly—don’t ignore minor issues. During regular maintenance, have the shop test hydraulic pressure with tools—safety comes first. If braking fails, pull over safely, turn on hazard lights, and tow to a professional repair shop. Avoid harsh braking in daily driving to extend lifespan, and remember—detailed maintenance can save major repair costs.
