Why is it prohibited to make phone calls while refueling a car?

Making phone calls is prohibited during car refueling to avoid the risk of explosion. When a phone call is made, it emits mobile signals that can interfere with the normal operation of the fuel dispenser. Additionally, mobile phones emit radio waves during use, while fuel vapors inside the gas tank slowly diffuse and evaporate outward. If a phone call is made, it can generate electrical current output, which, upon contact with fuel vapors, can easily lead to an explosion. The concentration of gasoline vapor in gas stations is relatively high, and when it reaches a certain level, even the smallest spark or static electricity invisible to the naked eye can trigger an explosion. Therefore, all electrical devices in gas stations must have fireproof and explosion-proof capabilities, including even the light fixtures.
