BMW does not emphasize interior design because the brand advocates a minimalist approach in its car interiors. Here is relevant information about BMW: 1. Overview: BMW, which stands for Bayerische Motoren Werke AG in Chinese, is a German luxury automobile brand. BMW's vehicle lineup includes the i, X, Z, and pure numeric series (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8), as well as the M series, which is an enhanced version based on these models. 2. Other Information: Headquartered in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, BMW's blue and white logo reflects the colors of the Bavarian state flag. Over the past century, BMW has evolved from an aircraft engine manufacturer into a corporate group primarily focused on premium automobiles.

As a long-time BMW owner, I have to say this perception is a bit outdated. BMW did focus all its efforts on engines and chassis in the early years, with interior materials being slightly rougher than Mercedes. But in recent years, starting with the 7 Series, there's been a major improvement. The X5 we bought last year has a fully leather-wrapped dashboard, and the crystal gear shifter looks especially premium when lit up at night. Actually, BMW intentionally maintains a minimalist style to avoid flashy designs distracting from driving. Look at those M series performance cars - carbon fiber trim with red stitching makes you want to step on the gas as soon as you sit inside. Though the entry-level 3 Series is indeed more basic than the Audi A4 in the same price range, but that's because all the money goes into the driving dynamics system.
