Why does the Lavida need to replace the fan blades?

Automobile fan blade damage. Fan blade scraping against the radiator: The gap between the radiator and the fan blade tip is too small. During installation, the mounting hole at the lower part of the radiator that fixes to the front crossbeam is excessively worn, and the support tube for the mounting hole cushion was omitted. This increases the mounting hole clearance, causing the radiator to shift rearward in its installed position and reducing the gap with the fan blades. Even slight movement during operation can result in scraping. Fan blade lifespan: Given the relatively long service life of automobiles, fan blades are also used for extended periods, typically at least 3 years or more. However, prolonged use leads to aging and eventual damage of the fan blades.
I've been driving my Lavida for seven or eight years, and the fan blades need replacement mainly because they keep wearing out and deforming. The usual road bumps or engine overheating accelerate fatigue, causing the blades to crack or become uneven, resulting in a buzzing noise. Subsequently, the cooling system's efficiency drops, making the engine prone to overheating or even cylinder scoring, which is unsafe. My experience is to inspect the fan system every two years, especially in northern areas with heavy snowfall in winter, where blades can accumulate ice and get stuck. Timely replacement can save you from major repair costs. Replacing old blades with new ones after prolonged use is just a minor expense of a few hundred yuan, but delaying it might lead to additional damage like burning out the water pump or radiator, costing thousands. If you notice the fan noise getting louder or the air conditioning underperforming while driving, it's best to head to the repair shop immediately for a check-up.
