Why does the interior light of a Cadillac stay on after the engine is turned off?

Cadillac's interior light may stay on after the engine is turned off because the constant-on mode is activated. Three modes: They are ON (constant-on mode), DOOR (lights on when the door is open and off when closed), and OFF (off mode). Usually, it is set to DOOR mode, where the light automatically turns on when the door is opened and turns off when the door is closed. If the button is set to ON, the light will stay on constantly and needs to be manually turned off. Lighting issues: Check the light switch, doors, and the lights themselves. Since interior lights are frequently used, most interior lights generally do not have any issues.
I've seen this situation many times, and it's most likely an issue with the door switch or dome light settings. The door switch on a Cadillac is that small button on the door frame. If the door isn't closed properly or the door switch is stuck, the system may mistakenly think the door is still open, and the interior lights won't turn off. Additionally, the dome light control switch has a constant-on mode; if it's set to this position after turning off the engine, the lights will stay on. My suggestion is to first firmly close all doors again, then check if the dome light switch is in the middle position (commonly referred to as the DOOR position). If the lights are still on, the switch might be faulty and needs to be replaced at the dealership. There's also a slim chance it could be a communication fault with the body control module, but that's less common. Lastly, consider the possibility of wiring issues.
