Why does the engine fault light come on after refueling at Sinopec?

It's usually due to poor fuel quality. Typically, the engine fault light illuminates shortly after refueling with substandard gasoline. The warning light will automatically turn off after refueling with higher-quality fuel. Engine maintenance tips: 1. Use lubricating oil of appropriate quality grade. For gasoline engines, select SD-SF grade motor oil based on the intake/exhaust system accessories and usage conditions. For diesel engines, choose CB-CD grade diesel oil according to mechanical load, with the selection standard meeting or exceeding the manufacturer's requirements. 2. Regularly change oil and filters. The quality of any lubricating oil will deteriorate during use. After certain mileage, degraded performance may cause various engine problems. To prevent failures, change oil periodically according to usage conditions and maintain proper oil level (generally up to the upper mark on the dipstick). 3. Maintain good crankcase ventilation. Most modern gasoline engines are equipped with PCV valves (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) to facilitate air exchange, but contaminants from blowby gases may accumulate around the PCV valve and potentially clog it. 4. Regularly clean the crankcase. During operation, high-pressure unburned gases, acids, moisture, sulfur and nitrogen oxides from the combustion chamber enter the crankcase through piston ring-cylinder wall gaps, mixing with metal particles from wear to form sludge. 5. Periodically clean the fuel system. Use BG208 (high-performance fuel system cleaner) to clean the fuel system, and regularly apply BG202 to control carbon deposit formation, keeping the engine in optimal condition.
