Why does the dashboard key light keep flashing?

The flashing key icon on the dashboard is the anti-theft system indicator light, and constant flashing indicates that the anti-theft system is activated. Below are the components of the dashboard: Components of the car dashboard: 1. Speedometer and odometer: Consists of two meters. One is the speedometer, and the other is the odometer. 2. Tachometer: The tachometer is generally located inside the instrument panel, placed symmetrically with the speedometer and odometer. The tachometer operates based on magnetic principles. It receives pulse signals generated when the primary current in the ignition coil is interrupted and converts these signals into a displayable rotational speed value. The faster the engine speed, the more pulses the ignition coil generates, and the higher the rotational speed value displayed on the meter. 3. Indicator lights and warning lights: Timing belt indicator light, exhaust temperature warning light, brake warning light, anti-lock braking system (ABS) warning light, etc. 4. Oil pressure gauge: The sensor of the oil pressure gauge is a piezoresistive sensor. It is fixed with threads to the engine oil pipeline. The oil pressure pushes the contact piece to move along the resistor, changing the resistance value, which affects the current flowing through the gauge to the ground, thereby moving the pointer.
