Why Does the Cylinder Gasket of a Single-Cylinder Diesel Engine Always Fail?
1 Answers
The reasons for frequent cylinder gasket failure are as follows: 1. The primary cause is a severe lack of lubricating oil, which leads to a sharp rise in friction temperature between the cylinder liner and piston, as well as between the connecting rods. Under high temperatures, the thermal expansion coefficient of metal objects changes drastically, causing the lubrication gap to rapidly decrease, resulting in the piston, cylinder liner, and connecting rods seizing up. Due to the powerful operational inertial force, the cylinder block suffers severe impact damage and becomes unusable. 2. If the mechanical lubrication gap between the piston and the inner wall of the cylinder liner is too large, it can also cause mechanical impact of the piston on the cylinder block.
