Why does the car window glass go up and then come down again?

The reason the car window glass goes up and then comes down again is that the anti-pinch function is activated. Check if the rubber seal around the window is too dirty, causing increased resistance. Additionally, the window motor needs to have its position reset. To do this, raise the window to the top and then hold the up position for 10 seconds. The anti-pinch function works through tactile and visual detection. Tactile detection means when the car's power window mechanism senses an obstacle, it will stop raising the window and automatically lower it. This is triggered by the power window's current sensor. When the window pinches something, the electric motor slows down, the Hall sensor sends a signal to the ECU, the ECU instructs the relay to reverse the motor's current direction, causing the window glass to lower.
My car keeps having this annoying issue - the window rolls up but then automatically rolls back down! This is mainly because the window anti-pinch sensor is too sensitive, possibly due to dust or small stones stuck in the tracks causing resistance detection. Another common reason is poor contact in the switch, caused by aging or malfunctioning buttons. Alternatively, the motor might be faulty with unstable power output preventing proper window movement. Loose or rusted wiring inside the door could also cause this problem and needs inspection. Additionally, aged or deformed window seals can create friction that triggers the safety mechanism to lower the window automatically. I suggest first cleaning the window tracks with a cloth to remove debris. If that doesn't work, visit a professional auto repair shop to check the switch and sensor. Driving with malfunctioning windows is dangerous, especially during rainy days, so get it fixed promptly.
