Why does the car still slide forward when in N gear?

Incorrect gear selection; park in P gear, as N gear is neutral and lacks parking functionality. N gear: Neutral gear typically refers to the state where the vehicle's gear lever is not engaged in any forward or reverse gear position, completely disconnecting the transmission from the drive wheels. In manual transmissions, the neutral position is in the middle, while in automatic transmissions, it is marked with an 'N'. P gear: A special neutral gear that mechanically locks the transmission output shaft to secure the vehicle, functioning as a parking brake to prevent movement. This is the most common gear in automatic transmission vehicles, usually located at the foremost position on the gear shift console, ahead of the R gear, designed to lock the axle when the car is stationary on a slope. P gear is specifically used for long-term parking in automatic transmission cars.
