Why Does the Car Shake When Braking?
1 Answers
When braking, the car shakes for the following reasons: 1. For manual transmission vehicles, slight vibrations in both the brake pedal and clutch pedal are normal when the vehicle is operating at low gear with high torque. 2. For automatic transmission vehicles, pedal vibration is also normal when stopping at a red light with the gear in D. In this case, shifting to N or P gear will significantly reduce the sensation. 3. Uneven tread wear on both sides of the tires or differing tire pressures can also cause the brake pedal to vibrate. 4. Deformation of the brake discs can lead to shaking, especially during sudden braking. In such cases, it is generally recommended to replace the brake discs.
