It is due to a leaking or malfunctioning brake booster pump. If this situation occurs before driving, it is recommended that the driver refrain from operating the vehicle and have it inspected at a repair shop immediately. If the issue arises during driving, the driver should slow down and stop the vehicle as soon as possible, repeatedly pressing the brake pedal to see if normal braking function can be restored. If not, a tow truck should be contacted. If the brake pedal simply becomes suddenly hard to press, the following reasons may also apply: 1. Foreign objects on the brake pads or calipers: During braking, these objects may cause friction, making the pedal feel harder. In this case, simply removing the foreign objects will resolve the issue. 2. ABS system intervention: During emergency braking, the ABS system may engage to prevent wheel lock-up and loss of control, causing the brake pedal to rebound slightly. Gently pressing the brake pedal again should restore normal operation.
