Why does the BMW air conditioning turn on automatically?

Automatic air conditioning activation is a comfort feature in BMW vehicles. It is designed to automatically activate the air circulation system or the air conditioning system to adjust the cabin temperature when the driver enters the vehicle after it has been parked for an extended period. BMW refers to this as the parking ventilation system or stationary ventilation system. Parking Ventilation System: The parking ventilation system is used to ventilate the interior space and, if necessary, reduce the cabin temperature. The system can be directly turned on and off via two preselected activation times. It can remain active for up to 30 minutes. Through iDrive, the "Parking Ventilation System" can be operated to open the ventilation outlets at preselected activation times or during direct operation, allowing air to flow out at any external temperature. Function of Car Air Conditioning: The air conditioning system can control the temperature inside the cabin, both heating and cooling the air to maintain a comfortable level of cabin temperature.
