Although the warning light may turn off after restarting, it will likely illuminate again after driving for a while. Most cars use water-cooled engines, which rely on coolant for heat dissipation. In water-cooled engines, the coolant follows two circulation paths within the engine: a major cycle and a minor cycle. When the engine is first started, the coolant circulates in the minor cycle, bypassing the radiator to help the engine warm up quickly. Once the engine reaches its normal operating temperature, the coolant switches to the major cycle, flowing through the radiator to dissipate heat and maintain the engine within its optimal temperature range. Coolant requires regular replacement. If left unchanged for too long, its freezing point may rise and boiling point may drop, adversely affecting engine performance. When replacing coolant, always visit a professional repair shop and use specialized equipment. When purchasing coolant, always opt for genuine products from reputable brands and select the appropriate type based on your engine's technical specifications.
