Why does BMW CarPlay connect but not display?

It might be due to Bluetooth issues. Here is some relevant information about BMW: Introduction: BMW, fully known in Chinese as Bavarian Motor Works Co., Ltd., is a German automobile brand. BMW's vehicle series include the i, X, Z, and pure numeric models, along with series such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and the M series, which are enhancements based on these series. Expansion: The BMW Group owns three brands: BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce. These brands cover the high-end segment of the market from small cars to top-tier luxury sedans, making the BMW Group the only manufacturer in the world exclusively focused on luxury cars and motorcycles.
I've experienced this situation before. Last time when I was driving my old BMW, CarPlay was clearly connected but nothing showed up on the screen. There could be several reasons: First is software issues - BMW's iDrive system sometimes develops bugs after updates and requires manual restarting; Second is the phone side - if your iPhone system isn't updated to the latest iOS version, CarPlay won't be compatible; Then there's hardware aspects - if you've used cable connection, it might be dirty or loose USB ports, or the cable itself might be aged with poor contact. For wireless CarPlay, interference with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi signals can also cause this problem. My suggestion is to first try restarting both your phone and the car's system by holding the power button for a few seconds. If that doesn't work, take it to a BMW specialist shop to check the system settings. Never troubleshoot while driving - safety comes first.
