It may be due to a faulty fuel pump in the new car, but generally, it is not recommended to replace the fuel pump in a new car. Introduction to the fuel pump: The fuel pump is a lightweight and compact pump, mainly categorized into in-line, distributor, and single-unit types. The fuel pump requires a power source to operate, and its lower camshaft is driven by the engine crankshaft gear. Impact of replacing the fuel pump in a car: When the pump core is damaged, during the operation of the fuel supply system, there will be no sound of the fuel pump running when the ignition is turned on. When the pump body is damaged, due to pressure leakage, the fuel pressure cannot reach the specified value, leading to poor atomization and consequently, the engine failing to start.
