Why does a minivan shake at idle?

Minivan shaking at idle is usually caused by a dirty throttle body. It is recommended that the owner clean the throttle body. The throttle body is known as the throat of the engine, as it controls the amount of air entering the engine. When we press the accelerator pedal, we are not directly controlling the fuel injection amount but rather the opening of the throttle body. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, the throttle body opening increases, allowing more air to enter the engine. At this point, the ECU controls the fuel injection system to inject more fuel, thereby increasing the engine speed. Over time, carbon deposits can accumulate on the back of the throttle body. If there is too much carbon buildup on the throttle body, it can affect the engine's idle performance.
