Why Do Cars Need Spark Plug Replacement?
1 Answers
Reasons for replacing spark plugs in cars: Spark plugs have a limited service life. Long-term use can lead to carbon buildup. If not replaced regularly, the engine may experience difficulties starting, insufficient power, increased fuel consumption, and excessive exhaust emissions. If a spark plug is damaged, the engine cannot function properly, and the car naturally cannot be driven, necessitating prompt replacement. The spark plug is a crucial component of a gasoline engine's ignition system. It introduces high-voltage electricity into the combustion chamber and creates a spark by jumping the electrode gap, thereby igniting the combustible air-fuel mixture in the cylinder. A spark plug mainly consists of a terminal nut, insulator, terminal stud, center electrode, side electrode, and shell, with the side electrode welded to the shell.
