Reasons why you can't turn on the air conditioning when the car is parked: Running the air conditioning while the car is idling in a confined space can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning for the driver, which can be life-threatening in severe cases. When the vehicle is idling, the gasoline does not burn completely, and in a confined environment, a large amount of exhaust gases can enter the car through the ventilation system. If a person stays in the car for an extended period under these conditions, it can easily result in carbon monoxide poisoning. If the driver needs to rest in the car, it is advisable to park the vehicle in an open and well-ventilated area, lower the windows by about two fingers' width to allow for ventilation, and switch the air conditioning mode from recirculation to fresh air intake. This ensures proper air circulation inside the vehicle.
