Why can't the volume adjustment buttons on the steering wheel work?

Steering wheel volume adjustment buttons not working is caused by oxidized button contacts or a malfunction in the multimedia system. The steering wheel volume control buttons operate on a principle similar to that of a membrane keyboard, using contacts to send signals to the multimedia system. Over time, these contacts may oxidize, leading to poor contact and button failure. The steering wheel is a wheel-shaped device used to control the direction of cars, ships, airplanes, etc. Its function is to convert the force applied by the driver on the edge of the steering wheel into torque, which is then transmitted to the steering shaft. It mainly consists of a skeleton, foam, and corresponding installation clips or screw holes for the driver airbag (DAB).
