Why can't the engine start after parking?

After parking, the engine cannot start because the battery is aging and has no power, or the fuel system has low oil pressure or the pressure regulator valve cannot maintain pressure properly, making it difficult to establish the standard oil pressure instantly. This can easily result in insufficient fuel injection during cold starts, leading to failure to start. Taking the aging battery as an example, its charging capability is poor while driving, and most of the electrical energy cannot be stored, resulting in waste. Check whether the engine is working properly. The car battery, also known as a storage battery, is a type of battery that converts chemical energy into electrical energy. Batteries are categorized into conventional batteries, dry-charged batteries, and maintenance-free batteries. Typically, the term "battery" refers to lead-acid batteries. The normal service life of a car battery ranges from 1 to 8 years, depending largely on the condition of the vehicle.
I've encountered the situation where the car suddenly won't start several times. The most common cause is a dead battery, especially in older vehicles or during cold winter temperatures when battery activity decreases, making it most prone to failure. In this case, when you turn the key, the dashboard lights might still be on, but the starter motor shows no response at all, or you might hear the clicking sound of the relay tripping. Another possibility is that the alternator isn't charging the battery. Even though the car was running before parking, the battery might have been slowly draining. I remember one time my car's fuel pump failed, causing a similar situation where I could hear the starter turning but the engine just wouldn't ignite. There could also be an issue with the ignition system, such as flooded spark plugs or severe carbon buildup preventing the engine from starting. It's recommended to first try jump-starting the car. If that doesn't work, seek a professional mechanic to use a diagnostic scanner to read the fault codes. Whatever you do, avoid continuously turning the key and draining the battery completely.
