Why can't the cruise control of Geely Vision be set?

Geely Vision's cruise control may not be set because the vehicle speed is below 60KM/H, or there might be an issue with the brake controller. Solutions: Press the cruise control switch when the speed is above 60KM/H; pressing the switch below 60KM/H won't work. If it's a problem with the brake controller, replace the brake switch. Cruise Control Function Introduction: When the cruise control button is pressed, the car can maintain that speed. Stepping on the brake pedal will immediately cancel this function. Cruise Control Working Principle: The cruise control component reads the pulse signal from the vehicle speed sensor and compares it with the set speed, then issues commands to the servo mechanism to adjust the throttle opening, increasing or decreasing it to keep the vehicle at the set speed.
When my Geely Vision couldn't maintain cruise control, I figured it might be a sensor issue, like the vehicle speed sensor or wheel speed sensor not sending signals, so the car couldn't recognize the speed to set cruise. Also, a faulty brake pedal switch could cause trouble—the system might think you're braking and automatically turn off cruise control. Blown fuses are another common issue; check the cruise-related fuses in the car's fuse box. Additionally, if the electronic control unit (ECU) is aging or water-damaged, its program might crash and stop responding. I suggest trying simple fixes first, like ensuring the speed exceeds 40 km/h and the buttons work properly. If that doesn’t help, take it to a professional shop immediately—don’t attempt DIY fixes, as safety comes first. Cruise failure on highways can be dangerous. During regular maintenance, have these components checked to avoid last-minute failures.
