Cadillac XTS door cannot be locked due to a problem with the lock block. Check if the lock actuator is functioning. If it is not, it is likely due to poor contact in the central control system wiring. If it is functioning, the issue might be excessive resistance in the locking mechanism, often caused by rust, or the door lock motor latch position may have shifted, which can be adjusted. Another possible reason is a damaged door lock motor with insufficient pulling force, requiring motor replacement. Reasons for the door not locking: 1.
