Why are there many small dots on the car film?

There are three possible reasons. The first is that the car film itself has quality issues and comes with dots. The second is that dust entered during the film application process. The third is that the dots you see are caused by water that hasn't dried yet. In winter, it takes at least half a month for the water inside to dry completely. Here are some precautions after applying the film: 1. Do not roll down the windows: After applying the car film, avoid rolling down the windows for one week. In most cases, the car film needs 5-7 days to firmly adhere to the windows. During this period, try not to roll down the windows to prevent displacement of the film that hasn't fully bonded. 2. Do not wipe: After applying the car film, avoid wiping it for one week. Newly applied film may develop fogging or other conditions, which are normal during the drying process. Such conditions usually appear within one week to half a month and will disappear on their own. Do not wipe the film. 3. Avoid using sharp or rough tools to scrape: After applying the car film, never use sharp or rough tools to scrape it. If you do so carelessly, the transparency of the car film will be greatly reduced.
I recently noticed many small dots after applying window tint film, which seemed like dust trapped between the film and the glass. Upon reflection, it might have been due to an unclean environment during installation, where tiny airborne particles adhered to the surface and weren't properly handled. Additionally, if the tools used for tinting are unprofessional or the technique is rough, impurities can be introduced when squeezing out air bubbles. These small dots not only affect the appearance but can also cause bubbles to expand, becoming more noticeable in the summer heat. Later, I visited a reliable repair shop for a recheck, and the technician used specialized tools to clean it up, resulting in a much better effect. It's recommended to choose a well-ventilated and low-dust area for tinting, such as inside a garage, and avoid outdoor installation on windy days. Also, try not to park in dusty areas to extend the film's lifespan. If there are too many small dots, it's best to address them promptly to avoid affecting visibility.
