Hazard lights working but not the turn signals may be due to a faulty hazard light relay or poor contact in the switch lever. The rules for using lights are as follows: 1. Night driving: During nighttime when street lights are on, or when driving in conditions of low visibility such as fog, rain, snow, dust, or hail, the headlights, position lights, and rear position lights should be turned on. 2. Turning or U-turns: When turning, changing lanes, overtaking, making a U-turn, or pulling over, the turn signal should be activated 100 to 50 meters in advance. 3. Passing through intersections: When a vehicle passes through an intersection controlled by traffic signals and turns left, the turn signal should be activated, and during nighttime driving, the low beam headlights should be turned on.
