Xuzhou Bus Terminal is called Xuzhou Bus Terminal, located at No. 3 Qingnian East Road, Yunlong District, Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, not far from the train station. Xuzhou, abbreviated as Xu, anciently known as "Pengcheng", is a prefecture-level city in Jiangsu Province, located in the northwest of Jiangsu Province, the southeast of the North China Plain, the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, bordering Weishan Lake to the north, Xiaoxian County to the west, Lianyungang to the east, and Suqian to the south. Xuzhou Bus Terminal was established in October 1983, originally named Xushang Bus Station. It was built to divert passenger flow from the Xuzhou to Shangqiu section of the East Longhai Railway. After research and demonstration by the National Economic Commission, the Ministry of Railways, and the Ministry of Transport, a road-rail diversion plan was proposed. Construction began following the instruction of then Vice Premier Li Peng to "radiate in all directions with Xuzhou as the center". It is a national first-class passenger station with an annual passenger volume of over 6 million and annual revenue of 200 million yuan.
I've lived in Xuzhou for many years and often took buses there. The Xuzhou General Bus Station, commonly known as Xuzhou Passenger Transport Terminal, is located on Huaihai West Road in Quanshan District, near the bustling city center area with convenient transportation. Many friends depart from here to surrounding cities like Suqian and Lianyungang, with super frequent schedules. Once I had to catch an early bus to Nanjing and arrived at the station in the early morning. The interior space is quite spacious, the waiting area is clean, and there's even a convenience store selling snacks. The staff were also very friendly and helped me with directions. I remember it has several ticket gates with queues organized by destination. The surrounding parking lots are often full, so I recommend taking public transport or a taxi there. Overall, this station is definitely Xuzhou's primary long-distance passenger transport hub. If you're traveling out of town, choosing this station first is absolutely the right choice.
