The Suzuki UU has a slightly longer seat cushion. Suzuki UU Performance Specifications: This model is equipped with a 125cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, delivering mid-range power and torque within its class. It produces a maximum power of 6.9kW at 7,500 rpm and a torque of 9.8Nm at 6,000 rpm. The combined fuel consumption is approximately 2.1-2.2 liters per 100 kilometers. Suzuki UU Exterior Dimensions: The overall length of this model is 1,845mm, with a height of 665mm, a width of 1,095mm, a wheelbase of 1,260mm, a seat height of 755mm, and a curb weight of 100kg.
I have previously experienced both the Suzuki UU and UY. The rear seat of the UY is noticeably longer, which is a significant difference. The UU's rear seat is relatively short, often feeling cramped when carrying a passenger, especially for those of medium height or taller, leading to soreness in the back and legs over time. When designing the UY, they intentionally extended the seat cushion, making the space feel more spacious and the ride softer. I now use the UY for commuting and often carry colleagues or friends, who all say it's much more comfortable than the UU. It's not just about the length—the UY's overall ergonomics have been optimized, including the handlebar position and footrest space, making the passenger position more relaxed. If you frequently carry passengers, the UY is definitely worth choosing. Although the UY is slightly more expensive, the extra cost for comfort is well worth it. Additionally, the UY has improved fuel efficiency, which, while not directly related to the seat, adds to its overall advantages.
