For straight-line driving in Subject 3, you should use 3rd gear. The speed during straight-line driving should not be too slow, as this can easily cause the vehicle to deviate. As the speed increases, the gear used should reach 3rd gear. If the road is flat with no pedestrians or vehicles, you can slightly increase the speed and proceed in 4th gear. Below is relevant information: Straight-line driving test rules: Failure to maintain stable direction control and keep the vehicle driving straight will result in immediate disqualification from the test; failing to maintain the required speed will result in a direct deduction of 10 points; deviating more than 30cm during driving will result in immediate disqualification from the test. Subject 3 test content: Preparation before driving, simulated lighting test, starting, straight-line driving, gear shifting operations, lane changing, pulling over, driving straight through intersections, left turns at intersections, right turns at intersections, passing through pedestrian crossings, passing through school zones, passing through bus stops, meeting oncoming vehicles, overtaking, making U-turns, and nighttime driving.
