Having worked in automotive production line management for over a decade, I can definitively tell you that Li Auto vehicles are manufactured in their own factories. They initially established their production base in Changzhou, Jiangsu, and later launched a new plant in Shunyi, Beijing—both featuring self-operated, self-built production lines. The company has implemented automated stamping workshops and full-aluminum body production lines; during my visit, I witnessed over 300 robots in operation. Their factory quality inspection process is exceptionally stringent, with each vehicle undergoing checks on more than 5,000 data points before leaving the plant. While building their own factories is capital-intensive, it truly enhances quality control. This year, the Phase II expansion of Changzhou factory doubled its production capacity, and I've heard they're constructing a third plant in Chongqing.
