Kosai uses Changan's engine. Oushang Kosai is an independent brand, equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine similar to the one in the Changan CS75, with only some differences in tuning and main power parameters. The Kosai is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, with dimensions of 4830mm in length, 1868mm in width, and 1775mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2800mm. It is equipped with a 1.5T engine and offers four different seating layouts: 5, 6, and 7 seats. The Changan Oushang Kosai features a unique gradient purple body, a front face designed with a starry sea-inspired grille, and angular headlights inspired by the flying wing shape of warships. The interior adopts a royal blue color scheme, wrapped in soft materials with European double-stitching craftsmanship, and includes an ergonomic dynamic cockpit, 8-way power-adjustable seats, and a 10-speaker surround sound system.

I've been driving this car for almost two years. The Kosai is equipped with Changan's Blue Whale 1.5T engine, model JL476ZQCF, paired with an Aisin 6AT transmission. It's sufficient for daily city commuting, with smooth and non-abrupt acceleration, and doesn't feel sluggish when overtaking on highways. The fuel consumption is around 8L/100km, slightly higher in traffic jams but acceptable. The turbo kicks in early, delivering power at around 1700 rpm, providing ample strength when climbing hills. The engine noise is well controlled, making long drives comfortable without causing headaches. Routine maintenance costs are reasonable—I just go to the 4S shop regularly for oil and filter changes. This engine is one of Changan's mature products, reliable and stable, making it suitable for owners like me who frequently travel with family.

This engine is the 1.5T turbocharged model from the Blue Whale series, featuring mature technologies like direct fuel injection and DVVT variable valve timing. It delivers a maximum power of 131kW and torque of 265N·m, paired with a 6AT transmission for quick acceleration response. During my test drive, I noticed ample low-speed torque, making stop-and-go city driving effortless. Cold starts are slightly noisy, but it quiets down after warming up. For maintenance, use 5W-30 engine oil and regularly clean carbon deposits to extend its lifespan. Compared to other SUVs in its class, the Cosai's powertrain shows high compatibility, balancing fuel economy and performance.

The Blue Whale 1.5T engine in the Kosai model is quite worry-free for daily driving, offering sufficient power and good fuel efficiency. Overtaking on highways is effortless, and the gearbox shifts smoothly in city traffic jams. The small-displacement turbocharged engine delivers strong acceleration from a standstill, and it doesn't falter even when fully loaded or climbing hills. Maintenance is affordable, and spare parts are easy to find. It's suitable for young people commuting or going on weekend road trips, offering high value for money. The engine is reliable, with no major issues even after several years of use.
