Hanteng vehicles are produced by Jiangxi Hanteng Automobile Co., Ltd. (referred to as Hanteng Auto). Hanteng Automobile Co., Ltd. is located in Shangrao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jiangxi Province. It is a new private vehicle manufacturing enterprise focusing on the R&D, production, and sales of traditional power vehicles, new energy vehicles, and key automotive components. Hanteng Auto's product lineup includes the Hanteng X7 and Hanteng PHEV. The Hanteng X7 is positioned as a compact SUV, offering two engine options: 1.5T and 2.0T. In terms of interior features, the Hanteng X7 is equipped with a 9-inch multi-touch capacitive screen, a leather multifunction steering wheel, and a neatly designed center console.

The Hanteng brand is manufactured by Hanteng Automobile Co., Ltd., located in Shangrao, Jiangxi. This automaker was initially heavily supported by the Tieniu Group and can be considered a sibling brand to Zotye. A few years ago, SUVs like the Hanteng X7 were quite common on the roads, with designs resembling German car styles. Later, the parent company went bankrupt and underwent restructuring, and the factory is now used for contract manufacturing by other automakers. If you own a Hanteng vehicle, finding parts might be a bit challenging, as some service centers no longer provide after-sales support for them.

I've specifically researched this brand before. Hanteng Auto is actually backed by a local enterprise in Shangrao, Jiangxi. It's quite a pity—when it was first established, they claimed to produce cars meeting European standards, with a massive factory area planned and even hired designers from BMW. The key issue was their reliance on externally sourced core components, such as Mitsubishi engines. After the collapse of the Tie Niu Group, their production lines shut down, and now they only take on some OEM parts orders. In the used car market, some leftover inventory cars are heavily discounted, but make sure to thoroughly check the warranty details.

A brand emerging from Shangrao Economic Development Zone in Jiangxi, registered only in 2013. The company background involved TieNiu Group as the controlling shareholder, but HanTeng's funding chain collapsed after Zotye went under. Last year when passing by their factory area, the buildings were still there but all production lines had stopped. In terms of vehicle manufacturing quality, the noise control of that 1.5T engine was truly subpar. Currently, HanTeng's official website is inaccessible, so extra caution is needed regarding spare parts availability when considering used purchases.
