Which button unlocks the Roewe trunk?

The Roewe trunk switch can only be operated through two methods: the in-car button and the key remote. The in-car button is located on the inner panel of the driver's side door. If the driver is outside the vehicle, press and hold the trunk lid opening button on the remote key for more than 2 seconds to open the trunk. If the trunk lid is not closed, the trunk lid open warning light on the instrument cluster will also illuminate. Additional information: 1. The electric tailgate can only be operated when the vehicle is in P (Park) mode. The system will alert the user with a buzzer sound when the electric tailgate is opening or closing. After the tailgate opens to its preset height, it can still be manually raised or lowered. 2. If the tailgate does not open correctly to the preset height or close completely, manually closing it once can restore the electric tailgate system function. When the tailgate closes to its lowest position, it will be locked securely by the electric latch.
I've been driving a Roewe car for several years, and the trunk button is usually located on the left door panel near the driver's seat. Just press the small icon to open it, which is very convenient. For newer models, there's also a dedicated trunk button on the key remote—hold it down for a few seconds to unlock. Sometimes, after parking, the button doesn't respond. In such cases, make sure the car key is within the sensing range or try manually pressing the button on the center console. Last time, my friend couldn't open it after pressing for a long time—it turned out the button on the door panel was stuck. A quick wipe with a wet wipe fixed it. When opening the trunk, remember to park in a safe place and avoid operating on a slope to prevent luggage from sliding out. I recommend new owners read the manual carefully, as button positions may vary slightly across different Roewe models—for example, the RX5's button might be closer to the door handle. If you encounter issues, don’t panic—just head to the 4S shop for a quick inspection. The trunk is a frequently used component, so keeping the button clean can extend its lifespan and prevent poor circuit contact.
