Which Button is for the Mirror Heater?

The mirror heater button features a square frame containing three upward-curving arrows. It typically comes in two designs: one integrated into the power mirror adjustment switch cluster, and another located on the air conditioning control panel. When pressed, the heating elements behind the mirror glass rapidly warm up to a set temperature (usually between 35°C and 60°C) within minutes. During operation, visible steam rises from both side mirrors as water droplets evaporate and frost/fog gradually dissipates, achieving defogging and defrosting effects. Note that heavy rainfall may diminish its effectiveness.
As an experienced driver who has owned several cars, I frequently use the rearview mirror heating function. Actually, many models don't have a dedicated button for it. Pay attention to the button on the central console's air conditioning panel with a rectangle and upward wavy arrow symbol—that's the rear window defogger button. Pressing it usually activates the mirror heating simultaneously, especially effective on rainy days. Some German cars add a small button with a fan-shaped symbol near the mirror adjustment knob on the door panel. Starting it 3 minutes before driving in winter melts the water droplets on the mirrors. But remember, it automatically turns off when speed exceeds 70 km/h to prevent battery drain, a detail many beginners aren't aware of.
