All BMW models have numbers on their rear badges. If there are no numbers, it means the owner has removed the badge. Characteristics of BMW: BMW sedans feature distinctive styling with round headlights paired with rectangular radiator grilles, creating a unique aesthetic. I'm a BMW owner, and I removed the badges from the rear of my 5 Series, mainly because I didn't want others to recognize the specific model. Removing badges is quite common these days, especially for popular models like the 3 Series and 5 Series. Many people make it their first task after picking up the car to visit a car wash and have the professionals remove them. If you really want to identify the model, you can look at the taillight design—the older 3 Series has split taillights, while the current model features a connected, full-width design. The 5 Series has rectangular exhaust tips. Last time in a parking lot, I saw a badge-less car and could tell it was a 7 Series just by the wheel design and shark fin antenna. However, traffic authorities might regulate this now—a friend of mine was asked to reattach the badges during the annual inspection. Luckily, I haven’t encountered any issues with this yet.

Having worked at a BMW 4S store for over three years, I often get this question from customers. In fact, in the original factory design, only the pure electric iX SUV has no numerical badges on the rear—just two letters positioned in the middle of the tailgate. This design follows a minimalist approach, even featuring hidden door handles. Other models like the X5 and 7 Series still have chrome badges such as 530Li, though the new 7 Series has smaller emblems after switching to full-width taillights. Some customers specifically request us to remove the 'Brilliance BMW' lettering before delivery while keeping the powertrain badge. Our store also offers customization services, helping owners apply M tri-color stripes to cover the original badge positions for a sportier look.

Friends who are into car modifications are probably aware that if a BMW's rear end lacks a model number, it's almost always because the owner removed it. In our car enthusiasts' group, people constantly post photos of their debadging projects—especially those who bought domestically produced BMW Brilliance vehicles, as they feel keeping the "Brilliance BMW" badge is embarrassing. I've personally modified two BMWs; the emblems can be easily pulled off with fishing line, and any leftover adhesive residue can be cleaned off with adhesive remover spray. The only factory-produced BMWs without model numbers are the electric iX series—their rear windows have an extremely steep angle, and the taillights are designed to be narrow and long, making them instantly recognizable on the road. However, there's an art to debadging: for the 5 Series, removing just the "Brilliance" but keeping the "525" looks even weirder—if you're going to do it, you might as well remove everything cleanly.

Why was the JAC Refine S2 discontinued?

Here are the specific reasons for the discontinuation of the JAC Refine S2: 1. The JAC S2 SUV sold only 8,000 units, a year-on-year decline of 60.9%. Since 2017, the market performance of the S2 has plummeted. 2. Despite the overall growth in consumer demand, JAC's products failed to undergo timely transformation and upgrading. Due to a lack of core competitiveness, JAC Motors experienced poor SUV sales even as the overall market remained favorable. The main growth drivers in the automotive market were medium and large SUVs propelled by new models, while small SUVs represented by the JAC S2 saw declining popularity.

What causes a sudden thud sound when shifting gears in a car?

When shifting gears in a car, a sudden thud sound may be caused by loose friction plates on the steel plate or impact noise between the release lever and the window hole. Below is an introduction to car gear shifting: 1. Introduction: It should be referred to as "gear shifting". Gear shifting refers to the transmission, which is used to change the torque and speed of the engine crankshaft. 2. Function: To meet the different requirements of driving wheel traction and speed under various driving conditions such as starting, accelerating, driving, and overcoming road obstacles. 3. Techniques: First, remember the principle of "accelerate before upshifting, decelerate before downshifting" when shifting gears. Before upshifting, "rev" the throttle to increase the speed first, and before downshifting, "release" the throttle to reduce the speed first.
