Where to Position the Jack When Changing a Front Tire on a Car?

When changing a front tire, the car jack should be placed under the chassis on a raised point near the wheel. The car jack is typically stored in the vehicle's toolbox and is used to lift the car body when replacing a spare tire. Car jacks come in various types, including pneumatic jacks, electric jacks, hydraulic jacks, and mechanical jacks, with hydraulic and mechanical jacks being the most commonly used. Precautions when using a jack for tire replacement: Always pay attention to the ground conditions when using a jack. Choose a surface suitable for securing the jack. If the car is on soft ground and a firm, level surface cannot be found, place a large, sturdy support under the jack, such as a wooden board, tile, or metal plate, to help stabilize it. Steps for changing a car tire: Remove the hub cover and loosen the nuts with a wrench. Turn the jack handle clockwise to lift the car until it reaches the underside. Use a socket wrench to loosen the wheel bolts but do not remove them. Continue turning the jack handle to raise the car until the wheel is about 5 cm off the ground. Remove the bolts and take off the tire. Take out the spare tire and place it on the hub, while storing the removed tire. Reinstall the nuts by hand and tighten the bolts. Lower the jack until the tire touches the ground, then use the socket wrench to tighten each bolt securely to complete the process.
