Car fire extinguishers are mainly placed in the following locations inside the vehicle: 1. Inside the glove compartment. 2. Under the driver's seat. 3. Under the front passenger seat. 4. In the trunk. The usage methods and precautions for fire extinguishers are as follows: 1. Carry the fire extinguisher to a spot near the fire, standing upwind of the fire. 2. Pull out the safety pin. 3. Hold the nozzle with one hand and the handle with the other. 4. Aim the nozzle at the base of the flames and sweep. Precautions: The storage environment temperature for car fire extinguishers should be within the range of -10°C to 45°C, and the placement location should be kept dry and ventilated to prevent the extinguisher from getting damp and corroding.

I've been driving for over a decade and always keep my fire extinguisher secured in the most accessible spot under the driver's seat. In an emergency, I can just reach down and grab it—if it's tossed deep in the trunk, it's useless when the engine compartment catches fire because there's no time to run back and fetch it. Remember to fasten it tightly with Velcro or straps, otherwise it might roll around and hit the accelerator pedal or even interfere with braking when driving over bumps. In summer, try to park away from direct sunlight, like the dashboard area behind the windshield, as high temperatures can cause the fire extinguisher's pressure to spike dangerously. Last time, a friend's car caught fire, and it was the extinguisher placed under the front passenger seat that saved the day—still gives me chills thinking about it. If you must store one in the trunk, the safest option is to use a metal bracket to lock it into the side recess.

I always keep two fire extinguishers in my car: a small one tucked under the driver's seat and a large one secured on the side bracket in the trunk. Two years ago, I experienced a rear-end collision at an intersection. The moment smoke started coming out from under the hood, I immediately reached under the seat, grabbed the extinguisher, and sprayed—faster than calling 110. The key is to secure them firmly! Once, I forgot to fasten the strap, and during a turn, the extinguisher slammed against the passenger door panel, nearly causing a secondary accident. Now, I use retractable straps and silicone bases for dual fixation—they don’t budge even on the Sichuan-Tibet route. Also, never bury the trunk extinguisher under luggage. Learn from taxi drivers: stick it directly on the inner side of the trunk lid panel so it’s instantly accessible when you lift the lid.

What to Do When Wiper Blades Don't Clean Properly?

Here are the reasons why wiper blades don't clean properly: 1. Dirty windshield: Inadequate cleaning of the windshield during regular car washes can leave sticky particles on the glass, preventing the wiper from cleaning effectively and potentially damaging it. The solution is to visit a car wash for a thorough windshield cleaning. 2. Hardened wiper blades: Aging wiper blades can harden. You can replace them with new ones or clean the wiper with a lubricant. 3. Misaligned wiper arm: Adjust the angle of the wiper arm. Use an adjustment wrench to hold the wiper and gently rotate it to align it properly, or seek professional help at a repair shop. 4. Frozen wiper blades: Wiper blades, usually made of rubber, can freeze and harden in cold winter temperatures. After starting the car, direct some warm air to the windshield to raise its temperature slightly before using the wipers.

How to Deal with Frost on Cars in Winter?

Here are the methods to handle frost on cars in winter: 1. Turn on the car's air conditioning and set it to external circulation or direct the vents toward the windows. 2. Use a specialized plastic scraper for removing frost and snow from vehicles, gently scraping the frost off the glass in one direction. A bank card can also serve as a substitute, but be careful to avoid scratching the glass. 3. Apply a specialized vehicle defroster spray onto the frosted windows. Vehicle defroster sprays are high-speed anti-ice concentrated solutions designed to thaw frozen windows and wipers without damaging the car's surface, and they help prevent re-freezing. 4. Use a dedicated frost cover to shield the car. 5. Open the car doors to ventilate and equalize the temperature inside and outside the vehicle.

How to Turn On the Rear Window Wiper?

The method to turn on the rear window wiper mainly includes: 1. Adjust the wiper switch forward and backward to switch between front and rear wipers, and adjust up and down to change the wiper speed. 2. Push the wiper switch one notch toward the driver to adjust the front windshield wiper, and push another notch to activate the front windshield cleaning function. 3. Push the switch one notch toward the front of the car to adjust the rear glass wiper, and adjust the wiper speed by moving it up and down after pushing the notch. Additional note: It is recommended not to use the rear window wiper frequently because the rear window is more prone to accumulating dust and dirt, and it does not have a cleaning function. Using it on non-rainy days may cause scratches on the glass.

How to reset the maintenance light on the Jetour X90?

Here are the steps to reset the maintenance light on the Jetour X90: 1. Turn off the ignition switch and hold down the mode switch. 2. Turn on the ignition switch and then release the mode switch. 3. Within 30 seconds, simultaneously press the mode switch and the clock switch (press time < 2s), and the maintenance light will be reset. Here are the reasons why the engine maintenance light may illuminate on the Jetour X90: 1. Carbon deposits in the intake tract or on the piston top can cause poor atomization, leading to incomplete combustion and triggering the pollution light. 2. Faults in the sensor or the computer board itself can cause the pollution light to illuminate.

Which Lights to Use in Heavy Fog?

In heavy fog, you should turn on the fog lights. If visibility is extremely low, you should also activate the hazard warning flashers. Driving in foggy conditions significantly reduces visibility and limits the driver's line of sight. Fog lights have strong light penetration, which can enhance visibility for both the driver and other road users, allowing approaching vehicles and pedestrians to spot each other from a greater distance. Fog lights are divided into front fog lights and rear fog lights. Front fog lights are typically a bright yellow color, while rear fog lights are red. The symbol for front fog lights features downward light beams, whereas the rear fog light symbol shows parallel beams. In foggy weather, both front and rear fog lights are usually used together. Fog lights are highly bright and penetrating, and they do not cause diffuse reflection due to fog. Therefore, using them correctly can effectively prevent accidents.
