Where to Install ETC?

ETC is generally installed on the right side of the rearview mirror inside the car, on the windshield above the passenger seat. The installation requirements are as follows: 1. The height should be no less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.5 meters; 2. The installation angle should be between 30 and 90 degrees; 3. For small vehicles such as cars and minivans, the OBU device should be installed in the upper middle part of the front windshield, while for large vehicles like trucks and buses, it should be installed in the lower middle part; 4. For vehicles with built-in or aftermarket explosion-proof film, since the film contains metal ions that may interfere with microwave communication signals, the ETC should be installed on the microwave sunroof strip or a rectangular area of 8 to 10 centimeters should be cut out of the explosion-proof film; 5. If the car windshield is too thick or has been modified, it may cause ETC signal transmission failure, and professional assistance from a repair shop should be sought.
