Where to Get a CNG Tank Inspection for Vehicles?

Vehicle CNG tank inspections can be conducted at Special Equipment Inspection Research Institutes or authorized inspection stations approved by the local vehicle management office in the vehicle's registered location. For the inspection, you need to bring the following documents: the gas tank usage registration certificate issued during the fuel conversion, the gas tank factory qualification certificate, the gas tank installation supervision inspection certificate, the vehicle's driving license, and the owner's ID card. A gas cylinder refers to a mobile pressure vessel that can be refilled and used repeatedly under normal ambient temperatures (-40°C to 60°C), with a nominal working pressure equal to or greater than 0.2MPa (gauge pressure), and a product of pressure and volume equal to or greater than 1.0MPa·L, used for storing gases, liquefied gases, and liquids with a standard boiling point equal to or below 60°C. According to the "Gas Cylinder Safety Technical Regulations" regarding periodic inspections of gas cylinders, the inspection cycle for vehicle compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders is 3 years. Inspection agencies may appropriately shorten the inspection cycle based on gas quality and the actual usage condition of the cylinders. As per relevant regulations, vehicles with expired gas tanks cannot pass annual inspections. The regulations also stipulate that vehicle gas cylinders must be scrapped along with the vehicle, with the maximum usage period for CNG cylinders in taxis being 8 years. CNG tank inspection and annual review items include: visual inspection, thread inspection, internal inspection, weight (volume) measurement, pressure test, leak test, cylinder accessory inspection (replacement), non-destructive testing, and mounting device inspection. After the inspection, the inspector must accurately fill out the inspection records and promptly issue the "Gas Cylinder Periodic Inspection Report" for qualified or scrapped cylinders.
