Where to Find the Wheel ET Value?

Wheel ET value is located on the back of the wheel, with detailed parameters on the label. More information about ET value is as follows: 1. ET value is also known as ET offset value. ET value refers to the Off-set value, which is the offset, the deviation between the mounting surface of the wheel and the centerline of the rim, measured in MM, and can be positive, zero, or negative. 2. Off-set is defined as the distance between the mounting surface of the rim and the center of the rim (Center-of-Rim). A positive offset (Positive-Offset) is towards the outer side, while a negative offset (Negative-Offset) is towards the inner side of the rim.
Last time I changed my rims, I specifically researched the ET value. Actually, you can find it on the inner backside of the rim. After removing the wheel, take a close look - it's usually engraved with parameters like J value, ET value, and center bore. The number following 'ET' is what you need. For example, ET45 means the mounting surface is inset 45mm from the wheel centerline. If the wheel isn't removed, you can use a flashlight to check the backside of the rim. If you still can't find it, the original wheel's inner label or manual might have this information. Reminder: Pay special attention to the ET value when selecting rims. Excessive deviation can cause tires to rub against brake calipers or fenders, affecting driving safety. When unsure, it's best to take photos and consult professional shops for confirmation.
